Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading carrier, recently launched “Juan Flight Closer to Home”—a new hiring initiative encouraging overseas Filipino engineers to return to the Philippines and advance their careers in local aviation.
The OFW balikbayan program strengthens Cebu Pacific’s efforts to bring home world-class Filipino talent and expand its team of aviation professionals who will help support the airline’s growing fleet and operations. Even before the program’s official launch in May, more than 10 engineers formerly based overseas had already joined the Gokongwei-led airline’s Engineering and Fleet Management team.
“Filipino engineers have earned the respect of the global aviation industry, and we believe it’s time to bring that excellence home. This program is about more than just filling roles—it’s about giving skilled professionals a reason to come back, contribute to something meaningful, and rediscover what it means to build a future in the Philippines,” said Felix Lopez, Chief Human Resources Officer of Cebu Pacific.
To support returning professionals, Cebu Pacific offers a relocation package that includes a complimentary flight to Manila with baggage allowance, one-time relocation assistance, travel benefits for the employee and their dependents, and healthcare coverage beginning on day one of employment.
The airline is hiring for a range of technical roles, including avionics, planning, airframe systems, and aircraft structures—functions that are critical to ensuring safety, reliability, and operational excellence across its expanding domestic and international network.
Through “Juan Flight Closer to Home,” Cebu Pacific invites Filipino professionals to come home, build meaningful careers rooted in purpose, pride, and impact—and make every moment matter.
