Driving Change: Robinsons Land Launches First GoCharge EV Charging Hub at GBF Center

RLC partners with Wuling PH to bring fast and green EV charging to more Filipinos

Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) has set the stage for a sustainable mobility revolution with the launch of its inaugural GoCharge electric vehicle charging station at GBF Center 1.

Held on February 28 at the GBF Center 1 in Bridgetowne Destination Estate, the launch brought together leaders from Robinsons Land and its project partner, Wuling Philippines, symbolizing a unified commitment to innovation, sustainability, and improved quality of life for all Filipinos.

At the signing ceremony conducted at the GBF Center lobby, Robinsons Land President and CEO Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio, along with project proponent Jericho P. Go, Senior Vice President of Robinsons Land, Wuling Philippines President Lloyd Lee, and brand ambassador Architect Shamcey Supsup-Lee, formally inked their transformative partnership.

This collaboration inaugurates an initial deployment composed of car and motorcycle chargers powered entirely by green energy, courtesy of the solar panels delivered by Wuling in late 2024. In addition to standard 220V, 32A charging units providing 7kW with a full charge time of 6 to 7 hours, the new GoCharge hub also includes 400V, 114A to 228A fast-charging units delivering up to 200kW, allowing vehicles to charge in as little as 30 minutes.

In her remarks, GoBio encapsulated the initiative's objective, stating, “I believe RLC and Wuling share a vision of creating a more sustainable and future-ready Philippines. Like Wuling, RLC is deeply committed to innovation and excellence.”

Reaffirming this commitment across the company’s diverse portfolio—including office buildings, malls, industrial and logistics facilities, hotels and resorts, condominiums, and destination estates—GoBio highlighted the growing demand for green solutions and emphasized that the future of mobility is electric: “Our answer to that is GoCharge, RLC’s initiative to build a robust and expansive network of electric vehicle charging solutions. We see Wuling as a very good partner in this initiative.”

At the event, Robinsons Land SVP Jericho P. Go also shared his insights on how RLC’s advocacy for electric mobility—helping make EV ownership more convenient and accessible for everyonecan transform Filipino lives. “When people think of electric vehicles, the common denominator is sustainability, or that it helps reduce our carbon footprint.” However, there’s also a transformative economic impact that’s not often talked about, says Go. “For an ordinary Filipino family, the savings on ever-rising fuel costs can make a significant difference in their daily life. That money could be redirected to more nutritious food, paying bills, children’s allowances, improved education, healthcare, or even expanding a business. With more affordable mobility and reduced expenses, we can help level the playing field and truly improve lives.”

After this first installation at GBF Center, Robinsons Land plans to extend the GoCharge network by partnering with EV and energy industry leaders to deploy chargers across their various developments all over the country within the next two years, with a vision to expand to 2,000 charging units within five years. Apart from its existing partnership with Wuling Philippines, Robinsons Land remains open to collaborating with other leading EV brands on future GoCharge stations to ensure the widest possible reach and best technology for its customers.

By investing in advanced EV-charging infrastructure, Robinsons Land not only supports the shift to electric mobility but also solidifies its role as a true champion of meaningful sustainability. The company’s green initiatives go beyond mere compliance—they reflect a steadfast commitment to creating eco-conscious developments that uplift communities and inspire a greener way of life.

With the launch of the GoCharge hub at GBF Center, Robinsons Land is revving up toward a cleaner, more efficient, and inclusive future, benefiting both the environment and the daily lives of Filipinos. “Our mission is clear,” said Go. “We’re here to make lives better.”
