GBF Centers 1 & 2: The Country’s Largest LEED v4-Certified Office Development

Robinsons Offices builds future-ready spaces designed for comfort, health & efficiency

In February, Robinsons Offices’ GBF Centers 1 and 2 were officially awarded LEED Gold certification under the LEED v4 rating system, one of the most rigorous versions of the world’s leading green building standard.

Administered by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), LEED v4 sets a high standard for green buildings by evaluating key factors such as energy and water efficiency, indoor air quality, sustainable design, and access to green transportation options.

With the newly acquired certification, the office buildings division of Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) is “setting a new benchmark in sustainable office developments,” said Rohith Ravula, GBCI Associate Director. “With more than 115,600 square meters of gross leasable area, GBF Centers 1 and 2 are now the largest office project in the Philippines to date to achieve LEED v4 Gold certification—an achievement that reflects a strong commitment to environmental excellence and innovation.”

Earning the LEED Gold certification reflects Robinsons Offices’ unwavering dedication to designing workspaces that are both environmentally responsible and focused on enhancing tenant well-being. This achievement aligns with RLC’s broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments, reinforcing its mission to develop sustainable and future-ready spaces. By prioritizing green building standards, RLC continues to drive positive environmental impact while enhancing workplace wellness and operational efficiency across its portfolio.

GBF Centers 1 and 2 are the latest premium developments of Robinsons Offices in Bridgetowne Destination Estate, joining an impressive portfolio of LEED-certified buildings within the property, including Tera Tower (Gold), Exxa Tower (Silver), Zeta Tower (Silver), and Giga Tower (Gold). Elsewhere in the Philippines, Cybergate Iloilo Tower 1 and Tower 2 have also been certified, while the recently completed Tower 3 is now undergoing the certification process.

Like all Robinsons Offices developments, GBF Centers 1 and 2 combine smart design with practical features to serve modern businesses and their employees. These twin buildings offer flexible and spacious office layouts with floor plates averaging approximately 2,500 sqm, providing ample room for businesses to grow and expand.

Placing heavy emphasis on sustainable operations, the development uses advanced water-saving technologies that significantly reduce water use both indoors and outdoors. The design also gives special attention to the quality of indoor air. High-quality air filtration systems ensure that the air inside is clean and free of pollutants, fostering a healthier work environment.

To enhance occupant comfort and energy performance, the building also utilizes energy-efficient double-glazed windows that help regulate indoor temperatures naturally. This smart design minimizes the need for excessive air conditioning even in the summer, reducing electricity consumption and offering practical cost savings for businesses.

Adding a refreshing touch to the urban setting, the centers feature a professionally landscaped podium garden. This green space provides a welcoming outdoor retreat where employees can take breaks, enjoy natural light, and recharge in a calming outdoor setting. More than just an aesthetic enhancement, the garden helps to reduce the urban heat island effect and creates a workspace that feels both vibrant and nurturing.

In addition, state-of-the-art touch-free systems, including contactless elevator access, have been integrated throughout the centers. These features are designed to enhance not just employee convenience but their security and safety as well.

“At Robinsons Offices, we view our work as more than simply constructing office buildings,” said Jericho P. Go, Senior Vice President and Business Unit General Manager of Robinsons Offices. “We create spaces where businesses can prosper and employees can experience a healthier, more sustainable work environment. This LEED Gold certification shows that our efforts to build responsibly are making a real difference for the communities we serve today and for future generations.”

Beyond its sustainable features, GBF Centers 1 and 2 have earned awards for exceptional design, including recognition as Asia's Best Office Interior Design at the 19th Asia Property Awards and the Best Office Architectural Design at the 12th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards. These achievements illustrate how practical design and environmental care can be successfully integrated to create spaces that are not only efficient but also inspiring. Located in Quezon City, the impressive towers underscore Robinsons Offices’ commitment to bringing world-class developments closer to the community, beyond the already flourishing business districts of Makati, BGC, and Ortigas.

Robinsons Offices is dedicated to designing work environments that meet the dynamic needs of modern businesses while addressing the broader challenge of environmental responsibility. With GBF Centers 1 and 2 setting the bar for sustainable offices in the Philippines, the company proves that high-performance buildings can be both practical and forward-thinking, benefiting tenants and the environment alike.

As Robinsons Offices continues to develop workspaces that support both productivity and well-being, its approach remains clear: true sustainability is about making genuine choices that positively impact people and the planet. These LEED Gold-certified centers are a testament to that vision, offering a model for future-ready offices that nurture growth, innovation, and a healthier way of working towards a better and brighter tomorrow.
